List of Conditions Predisposing Patient to Severe COVID-19 Infection

Preventing and managing COVID-19 is important for public health. COVID-19 spreads mainly through respiratory droplets from an infected person when they cough, sneeze, or talk. To reduce the risk of infection, individuals should follow good hygiene practices, like washing hands often with soap for at least 20 seconds or using hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol when soap isn’t available. It is also important to avoid touching the face.

Wearing masks in crowded or enclosed spaces helps block the virus. Social distancing, keeping at least six feet apart, is also crucial. Getting vaccinated and staying updated on booster shots is one of the best ways to prevent severe illness.

If someone contracts COVID-19, they should self-isolate to prevent spreading it, monitor their symptoms, and seek medical help if symptoms worsen. Managing the infection through rest, hydration, and medications can help recovery.
